PL/SQL Developer

Position: PL/SQL Developer

Experience: 5+ Years of software development experience utilizing PL/SQL

Location: 100% remote

Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science

MUST HAVE: Healthcare experience will be looked at first

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop PL/SQL code Data Access Layers for use by client applications
  • Experience in creating, modifying database objects such as Table, Index, Views, Triggers, Constraints and more
  • PL/SQL programs required to retrieve data using cursors and exception handling.
  • Manage reference data stored in Oracle DBs
  • Involve in creating and managing tables, indexes, db links and privileges.
  • Coordinate with DBA in creating and managing tables, indexes, table spaces, auditing and data quality checks
  • Used subversion tools, SVN version management to manage various versions of the procedures and functions of the application.
  • Schedule jobs to automate different database relate activities including backup, monitoring database health, disk space, backup verification.
  • Work on the oracle SQL queries and PL/SQL objects like functions, procedures, packages, triggers, views, cursors.
  • Implement procedures to install and deploy large numbers of Linux / Unix servers.
  • Create database tables, create various db queries and assist in data mapping/testing activities in support of project.
  • Modify and develop new scripts in LINUX to provide the same functionality as that are provided in UNIX.
  • Develop Perl and shell scripts for parsing the incoming file’s data and loading them into the database.
  • Used JIRA for the requirement tracking, planning and building.
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure successful implementation
  • Provide post implementation and on-going production support

  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to use strong industry knowledge to relate to customer needs and dissolve customer concerns and high level of focus and attention to detail.
  • Strong work ethic with good time management with ability to work with diverse teams and lead meetings
  • Preferable experience in Health Plan Implementation in Healthcare Domain
